2nd International NALCN Conference
The Channeling Hope Foundation is excited to host the 2nd International NALCN Conference (NALCN 2025) in San Antonio, Texas, USA, from October 9-12, 2025. More information will be available soon, including submitting an abstract, registering, and other important details.
In the meantime, here’s what you can look forward to:
NALCN 2025 Schedule
October 9 (Evening):
Informal meet-and-greet for families and scientists who arrive early
October 10-11:
A mix of presentations and events designed for both scientists and families:
- Scientific Presentations and Working Sessions for researchers
- Morgan’s Wonderland Visit for Families – The Channeling Hope Foundation will provide transportation and tickets for families. Morgan’s Wonderland is the world’s only ultra-accessible theme park, bringing together guests of all ages and abilities through inclusive play.
- Clinically-Focused Presentations and Roundtable Discussions for families and research physicians
- Family Support Sessions – Presentations and Q&A sessions to help families understand the genetics of NALCN-related conditions, how to enter data into RARE-X, and ways to get involved in NALCN research
- Natural History Study data collection from patients/patient families
- Opportunities to network with scientists and connect with other families
October 12 (Morning):
Time and space for networking and brainstorming
Support
- We will offer travel scholarships for families and trainees. Scholarships for scientists and clinicians may also be considered. Details about the application process will be shared soon. If you need immediate information to help with your planning, please email nalcn2025@channelinghope.org.
- Childcare and babysitting services will be available during all conference sessions. We hope this will allow parents and caregivers to participate fully by learning, listening, and connecting with others.
